The ACMES Convention serves to enhance the visibility of Middle East studies within the University of Amsterdam, to strengthen the network between ACMES associates and to inspire future collaborations.

This time the convention consists of 6 panels that cover themes ranging from cultural studies, postcolonial history, memory studies, and gender. We also have an expert panel on ‘Doing research on and teaching the Middle East’. A more detailed programme follows early January.
