ACMES would like to invite students to this new ACMES initiative. This event is designed for students who are looking into different career prospects. We will regularly be inviting professionals to speak about their work and the career path they took. They will also provide career advice. The career masterclass will last 2 hours and there will be space for Q&A.

For our first event we have collaborated with ACES and we are pleased to announce the former head of the EU delegation to Syria, Dr. Anis Nacrour as our first guest. The career masterclass will take place on the 7th of December 2018 from 11-13 at the Common Room of political science (REC B9.22).

Dr. Anis Nacrour was a French diplomat and Acting Head of Delegation of the EU to Syria. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and has held senior diplomatic posts in Algeria, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Israel, Qatar, the US and Yemen. He has been seconded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs and worked as political and security adviser to Tony Blair on the Middle East Peace Process (2007-10) as well as in the British Foreign and Commonwealth Service (1996-97).
