This year's opening lecture will be delivered by Farid Boussaid. He will discuss the resilience of Middle Eastern regimes and their survival strategies in the light of the wave of protest and conflict witnessed by North Africa and the Middle East since December 2010. Other lecturers, from various (inter)national universities, will discuss a variety of topics - ranging from modern Arabic literature to polemics on Islam in early modern Europe, and from Omani politics to citizenship studies, to name but a few.

For the complete programme, please follow the link below. All lectures will be held in English and are followed by a reception.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: SOME DETAILS (E.G. LOCATION) FOR SOME LECTURES HAVE CHANGED. FOR UP TO DATE INFORMATION, PLEASE SEE OUR EVENTS, OR THE UPDATED PROGRAMME BELOW.
